I’m Reese (short for Theresa), a professional fitness instructor, registered nurse, and loving wife. Thank you so much for stopping by! As you can see, I have a potpourri of interests, and I would love to share them all with you!
To get to know me better, here are some random-isms about me:
I own many, many bottles of nail polish. They are like little pick-me-ups.
I’m shy and loud at the same time. Hard to explain, but in some situations I am terribly introverted and reserved, and at other times, I can be a gregarious show-off. It really depends on the company and atmosphere. Most people only know me as being one way or the other. If you don’t know about my love for singing and dancing, then you don’t know me very well.
I love to eat… too much. I think it’s my parents’ fault, because every childhood picture that I have is basically little me plopped down in front of a giant cake. To compensate for my gluttonous appetite, I exercise… too much.
I need to be creative, and I need to see my accomplishments. That’s why I enjoy making things and love being physically active. School was mostly miserable for me because I felt that it stifled my talents and creativity. I am a self-learner (I practically majored in “Google-ing”), and I think I feel most comfortable learning things on my own.
I love to goof around and act like a kid. That’s probably why I don’t have any. When I’m at home, you can find me spontaneously dancing around the living room, talking in random, really bad accents, and doing aimless handstands and yoga postures everywhere (there are dents in the wall to prove it). I want to be around people that can do this with me and not feel bad about it. Yes, you can play and be productive simultaneously.
I firmly believe that you should do more of what makes you happy, and surround yourself with people who encourage you to follow your dreams.
Leave a comment and check back frequently for my latest musings (and my latest nail color – hehe).

Hi Theresa!
Love your blog & website — it’s so much fun to read through (probably as much fun as it is to do)! My 9 year-old daughter Eliana is finally becoming girly—pierced ears, “cute” sparkly shirts & jewelry—I’m sooo excited! Will be checking back in.
Hey there Theresa! You are always keeping yourself busy with something new. Good for you. Keep it up.
I love this blog!! Looks so professional. Will check back soon.

Hello! i’ve enjoyed your posts ;>)
Very nice article and straight to the point. I am not sure if this is actually the best place to ask but do you people have any thoughts on where to hire some professional writers? Thx
Hi Theresa!
So adorable- love the site. Gonna do the shoes with Maria and Elena this weekend. They have great ballet flatsthat we’ll try to spice up their school uniforms. Heading to Michaels tomorrow and I’ll let you know how it goes!
Future ideas: love the yoga mats but know any way to spice up an existing one? Maybe paint/stencils?
Also Ms. Fitness, review some sports bras! I’m in the market and there’s WAY too many to choose from! It’s like shopping for cereal nowadays.
Miss you! Good luck!
Thanks Kirsty! I am actually planning on doing a tutorial on painting yoga mats because I have a hand painted one that I bought years ago that my bunny chewed up. Great idea about the sports bras- will start doing some research!!!! Hope you and your family are doing well. Miss you! xo
More ideas…..
In need of cute running attire- something colorful, fun and girly. Or maybe reflective??? Everything I own is boring black and considering I run at 5am, I’m forced to wear a blinky lite-up vest or a LED light I stole from my mountain bike for safety. Air traffic controller is NOT the look I’m going for
Also… great jeans under $100. Do they exist???
xoxo
Kirsty
Kirsty, I am sure you make the cutest runner/air traffic controller! I’m always looking for cuter workout clothes too, and my body tends to be hard to fit which makes it even more challenging. I will put running clothes and jeans under $100 on my to do list. Don’t even get me started on jeans. Jeans are my nemesis! I tend to find a good pair of jeans when I am not looking for them, and I own two really good pairs that were both under $60 that I wear over and over. One is from Express and the other was purchased at Ross. xxoo
Hahaha! I just had a mental image of you running with this light strapped to your head. I like your recommendation on affordable jeans. Theresa, I’m in the market for stylish, but not too flashy, short, boot leg jeans without all the yellow acid wash and the holes. You know me. Plain. and short =) Have any suggestions??
I simply want to tell you that I am new to blogs and absolutely loved this web page. Probably I’m planning to bookmark your blog . You absolutely have outstanding writings. Bless you for revealing your website page.

Just mixed up some of the mineral makeup and Big Air Punch to you! I have very fair skin and most foundations have too much rose/red/pink in them to look natural, so I threw in some Benefit Bluff Dust (yellow matte) and it did the trick. Thank you!
Leslie
Awesome!!! Thanks for that Air Punch! Much appreciated
xoxo
Reese! I loved the mineral veil DIY. I was shocked to find that it actually was very nice. Often, when I find DIY beauty online, it doesn’t tun out very pleasant. But, this tutorial was great! Money=Saved!

Just discovered your blog via pinterest. I love your DIY entries and the overall feel of your entries. Do you have a pinterest/facebook page for your blogs so I could follow when there are new posts there?
Thanks for the great ideas!
Much appreciated. Glad you found me KJ!!! As of yet, I do not have a pinterest or FB page for the blog…just my personal pinterest/FB pages. I pin all the DIY posts to my pinterest, and I occasionally post about my blog on FB. You can also follow the blog through Bloglovin’. Thank you for stopping by, hope to hear from you again soon!!! xoxoxo

No problem, Ivy! Go for it! Thanks! xoxox
Hi Reese,
I am so happy that I just found your blog. I feel a very strong connection with you, and you are sooooo inspirational! Love all of your ideas. I have been following Kandee Johnson quite a bit lately, after finding her by accident on Youtube. Between the two of you, I think that I am going to explode with creative ideas! Thank you so much for that swift kick in the butt (hahaha!). I am creative by nature, but I’d really lost my inspiration through all my recent life challenges, sadly. Thanks to beautiful people like you, I am gradually getting my ‘fire’ back! Keep up the great work…Shaza from Australia.
Dear Shaza,
Thank you for your sweet message. It really touched my heart and made me so very happy. Yes, we seem to be very much alike, and I absolutely looooooove Kandee Johnson! I’m so glad that you are enjoying getting back to your creative side. There is no stopping you now! The creative process is such a healing, transformational force – I hope you continue to be inspired, and with that, you will in turn inspire many others. Happy new year to you. Cheers, Reese
I just turned 56, but even I find you and your blog so adorable and inspirational, makes me so glad I’m a girl. You are really great and should write a book.
Mary Cate,
How wonderful! Thank you so much for leaving such a thoughtful message. Your words mean so much, more than you know. I’m sure you can tell that I love being a girl too, and I try to thoroughly enjoy the little things in life. Big hugs to you! xoxox
