So last week I finally joined planet Earth and set up a Twitter account. I thought that was a major accomplishment in itself, along with starting my Instagram one month ago. Then I kept seeing people talk about their “Vine.” I was like, “Oh geez, another one?” I know I’m not the only one who didn’t know what a “vine” was because I asked around to see if any of my friends had one, and they all looked at me like I was a chimpanzee. I downloaded the free the app, and you may now call me Queen of Social Media, thank you very much.
In case you were living under a rock like I was, Twitter’s new golden child, the Vine App (free for all iOS devices and Android), is like an Instagram for brief videos (6 seconds to be exact). The video loops over and over until you scroll down to watch another one. Some videos are funny six second skits, some are visually beautiful, others use it to showcase their pets, outfits, and selfies. I have to admit, after going through many random vines, some celebrity vines, and vines of other bloggers and vloggers, I think this is a clever way to express yourself, communicate, and have a little creative fun. I’ve only posted a handful of times- still trying to get used to how it all works. Below is an OOTD post from the other day (click on it to open the vine). I encourage you to waste even more time on social media and start yours if haven’t already. Find me: @ReeseKistel
