DIY Gel Nails (No UV light)

Hello! This is my fourth time doing my own gel nails at home, and let me tell you, this stuff is amazing. Did you know that you can do your own gel nail manicure at home using your own normal nail polish and no UV light? It will make your nails look thicker and freshly polished even after two weeks. Here’s how:

You will need GELOUS Advanced Nail Gel Coat from Sally Beauty Supply, ANY nail polish color of your choice, and ANY clear top coat of your choice.

1. Apply one coat GELOUS onto clean, smooth, dry nails. Let it set for a few minutes.
2. Apply another coat GELOUS. Let set.
3. Apply one coat nail polish. Let it dry.
4. Apply another coat GELOUS. Let it set for a couple minutes.
5. Apply another coat nail polish. Let it dry.
6. Apply one layer clear top coat. Let dry. DONE.

To remove your gel nails, use acetone nail polish remover, and it’s a breeze. Enjoy your beautiful nails! Watch in HD for best quality video.

  1. I love how you used Wet n wild nail polish! Not Butter London or any other expensive brand. It’s beautiful.

    • YES! Thanks Elsa. I love Wet n Wild! Most of my nail polishes are Revlon, WetNWild, or Sally Hansen. Love it!

  2. I tried this pin exactly as she stated above and it works really well! I have tried all of the gel nail pins on pinterest and hands down this one is the best!! The only difference is I used Sech Vite as my top coat. Will definetly be doing this again!

  3. Just did this!!! Love it. With 4 kids at home I’m not able to always go to the nail salon. This way I can do it myself and save money in the process!!! Thanks:)

  4. Thanks so much for this post! I am in love with this stuff!! I linked back to this post on my blog Check it out!

  5. Great tutorial!! I’m trying this now and i’m on my 5th day! Only a few minor chips on the edge of one finger and i break down boxes at my job!! Usually my nail polish doesn’t last two days! Love this!!!!!

  6. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I went and bought my favorite color polish today, that gelous stuff and the same top coat. Doing my nails as I speak.. Thanks again, this will save me time and money. & you are so beautiful by the way :)

  7. Tried this two weeks ago. I was able to keep this manicure for about 10 days without chips. I was so impressed since my manicures usually only last 2-3 days.
